|
THE TWELVE KINGDOMS was a story of twelve countries,
which were said to be located at the far end of this world. In this world,
there were an
emperor and a Kirin, a scared creature, in each country. An emperor was
chosen by his Kirin, which was believed to pass a message from the heaven.
One day, Yoko Nakajima, an ordinary high school girl,
was approached by a young man named Keiki and was brought to the twelve
countries forcefully.
In truth, Keiki was a Kirin of Kei country and chose Yoko to be the empress.
However, in Kei, there was a conspiracy plotting to have a false empress.
On the way to Kei, Yoko and Keiki were attacked by huge
monsters, which were sent by the conspirators. Yoko got separated from Keiki.
Without knowing
anything of the twelve countries, Yoko set off on a journey to find Keiki
in order to go back to her home. However, Yoko's life was in danger. The
vicious group conspired to assassinate Yoko. In the series of severe battles
and impenetrable difficulties, Yoko found out who she really was and what
she really wanted to be.
